Notes for all ICS systems:
Arsenic filters are designed to remove arsenic in the forms As3 and As5 over a wide pH range down to 10 ppb or less. No need to chlorinate and dechlorinate or adjust pH to get maximum capacity from the filter. Be sure to have your water tested so you know what is in it and treat for any of the water quality parameters not allowed.
Note: Our testing lab is not a certified lab, all tests we do are courtesy tests only. For this reason, we do not test for anything health related including arsenic and bacteria.
It is recommended an activated carbon filter such as ICS-ST or ICS-STP be used to improve taste and odor. It is also recommended a second arsenic filter be installed after the first to provide added protection against the first reaching capacity prior to being replaced.
For assistance with your treatment system please contact us and we will be happy to help. Maximum service life is 1,890,000 ppb As3 and As5 or 1 year and may be less depending on your water quality and the volume of water treated. You must periodically test your treated water for arsenic and change filters immediately if arsenic in treated water is greater than 10 ppb.
Treatment Flow Rate must not exceed 6 gallons per minute. A 6 gpm flow restrictor is required.
